Ceasing employment for 457 visa holders

It is anticipated that from 19 November 2016 all subclass 457 visas granted will have a reduced period in which to find a new employer if their employment ceases. The period that a primary subclass 457 visa holder can remain in Australia after their employment ceases will be reduced from 90 days to 60 days. Where visa holders do not lodge a new nomination within those 60 days their sc 457 visa may be cancelled.
