COVID-19: Online citizenship ceremonies

With face to face citizenship ceremonies having been cancelled due to COVID-19, the Department of Home Affairs has introduced online citizenship ceremonies through a secure video link. Ceremonies held online are one-on-one with the presiding officer from the Department of Home Affairs.

Those eligible will be sent an email invitation from the NSW ceremonies team. Applicants will be invited to a ceremony in order of their application approval date. They do not need to contact the Department to request this. If the applicant is not in Australia, they cannot have an online ceremony.
