190/491 Visa Programs on Hold

State and territory governments have the capability to nominate applicants under the subclass 190 and 491 programs based on expressions of interest lodged through Skillselect. Each state and territory are provided with a particular allocation of the number of nominations that they can make each financial year under the programs. The State and Territories nomination program under the subclass 190 and 491 visa programs will remain temporarily CLOSED until the Commonwealth Government allocates state nomination places for 2020-21. State & Territory governments therefore currently have no ability to nominate applicants for subclass 190 and subclass 491 visas. There has not been any formal notification of when the 2020-21 allocations will be made.
