Changes to PTE Academic English test format

From 16 November 2021 the format of Pearson’s PTE Academic English test is changing. The test will be reduced from a three hour test to a two hour test. It will still test all four language skills and include 20 questions of the same type as are currently featured but will be a shorter format.

From November there will also be available a PTE Academic Online test. However, this is NOT available for use for immigration purposes. Applicants wishing to apply for a visa using PTE Academic test results will need to sit their test at a test centre.
