Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List

In early September the Department released the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation list which specifies occupations identified as being critical to supporting Australia’s COVID recovery. Occupations on the list are being given priority in a number of applications including employer sponsored nominations and visa applications as well as border closure exemption applications. On 27 November the occupation of Social Worker was added to the list.

The list now comprises of the following occupations:

· Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency) (254415)

· Registered Nurse (Medical) (254418)

· Registered Nurse (Mental Health) (254422)

· Registered Nurse (Perioperative) (254423)

· Registered Nurses nec (254499)

· Developer Programmer (261312)

· Software Engineer (261313)

· Social Worker (272511)

· Maintenance Planner (312911)
